RunOn is an immersive story running app, in which every run becomes an adventure where you’re the hero. While you run, by integrating with the Health app, the app detects your heart rate and running intensity so that the adventure can adapt accordingly to help you always run on the right pace. Not too fast, not too slow, but always in the right zone for a better training outcome.
This project was an audio running app for contest called: Mission Appossible, which won a Grand Prize Winner Award. The app was for New York University, W. R. Berkley Innovation Labs and was a research project, mixing in-depth narrative with fitness using milestones and episodic storytelling. I wrote 55,000 words of original content that was intense, enjoyable and overall an exciting and stimulating sensory narrative experience. Using my game design skills, I was also able to blend the story with the game mechanics very well, creating a very enriched game.
