Snowball Mayhem was a game I designed for McDonald’s. Unlike a regular mobile game, this game uses the Kinect and projects the game onto a table-top/floor making a regular surface in McDonald’s interactive and full of fun! Magic Table games range from 1-6 players and Magic Floor games can be played by 1 player or more; however many it takes to fill up the space!
This is a fast-paced competitive game projected onto the Magic Table and the aim is to throw as many snowballs as possible at your opponent without hitting any obstacles. Players score points by hitting the other players with as many snowballs as they can before the time runs out. Each of the three zones contains an aiming bar for players to control. They must be careful to avoid constantly moving trees and Albie (the reindeer) who wanders through the forest. As the game speeds up over time, it becomes increasingly challenging, and whichever player scores the most once the time is up are declared the winners.
Alongside designing the game, I also created all the UI elements and all the in-game effects.
