Happy Hoverboard is a game I designed for McDonald’s. Unlike a regular mobile game, this game uses the Kinect and projects the game onto a table-top/floor making a regular surface in McDonald’s interactive and full of fun! Magic Table games range from 1-6 players and Magic Floor games can be played by 1 player or more; however many it takes to fill up the space!
This is a timing and colour coordination game projected onto the Magic Table and the aim is to perform as many tricks as possible with Happy (the Happy Meal Character) on his skateboard. When a specific coloured platform comes into view, the players must tap on the colour matching button to perform a trick. Every successful colour match awards the player with a point. If they collect fruit on their way, they are awarded with extra points. When the timer is up, the player with the highest score is declared the winner!
Alongside designing the gameplay, I also created the UI and game layouts for both the circular and rectangular Magic Tables.
