Spot The Pets was a game I designed for McDonald’s. Unlike a regular mobile game, this game uses the Kinect and projects the game onto a tabletop/floor, making a regular surface in McDonald’s interactive and fun! Magic Table games range from 1-6 players, and 1-8 players can play Magic Floor games!
Players create two teams of four and then pick an Elf Pet. The players are shown a snowy scene with Christmas trees when the game starts. Randomly, the pets will pop up and down out of the snow, and it is up to the teams to jump to the pet associated with their team. If Team A steps on Team B’s pet (and vice versa), they score points for Team B, so they must be careful where they step. At random points throughout the game, an elf will pop out of the snow, and it is up to the players to jump to them to score bonus points. As the game progresses, so does the speed at which the animals appear and disappear, but they also populate more, making it difficult not to score points for the opposing team. The team with the most points is declared the winner when the timer is up.
Game Link: As this game is a Magic Tabletop game that is playable only in McDonald’s stores, there isn’t a link to play it. However, you can read about the games and where to find a Play Area to try out the game in person! McDonald’s Happy Meal Games
